Instructions on how to order books:

1. Go to catalog.kcls.org/. This brings you to the catalog search engine of the KCLS. 

2. Locate an individual book title.
Search by:

• keyword or
• title: type into search field the title of book. If the system does not locate the book, type in only part of book title. (Some of the titles are misspelled).
  
  Important: If keyword or title contains an Umlaut (ä, ö, ü) omit the diacritics from your search,  e.g. search for Eisbar rather than Eisbär.

Note:  To locate

• all German language children's material: Search by “Keyword” search field: Type in ”German Language Juvenile”
• all German language material: Search by “Subject begins with…” search field:
  Type in: “German Language”
  
  The system will display the various subject headers and identify how many titles are available for each subject. You can drill down to the details from here.

3. Order the book.  Click on the <<Place Hold>> Button

4. Enter you library card number and password.  Submit.

5. Choose your pick-up location.
Submit. 

You just completed your order! 

The KCLS will notify you via e-mail (or phone) once the books have arrived at your chosen location. The KCLS will also send you a reminder (e-mail or phone) in case you forget to return the books.
