Babytreff / Kindertreff

Babytreff / Kindertreff

This group started to get together in November 2010 and we are still trying to find more members with newborns, babies, infants, toddlers where the kids and parents would like to hang out and talk German. We had our first meeting in November with 8 babies who brought along their moms and/or dads. It was great to see all of the kids interact on a blanket and walking around at Sip & Ship in Ballard. We also came up with the plan to meet every second Saturday each month. Of course more events could take place in between, just share your ideas. Upcoming dates: 10.September Cafe VIOS Capitol Hill - Playarea for kids 8.Oktober Cafe VIOS Capitol Hill - Playarea for kids ----- In summertime we could go and have picnic at a park or got to the outdoor pool or...many other options out there. Also, we might find some parents who like to talk about what the differences are to raise a baby in the US vs. Germany in terms of food, toys, what's typical etc. or how to buy "Zwieback, Sigikid, Haba or Bobbycar, TrippTrapp etc" Hope to hear from you.

Kinderkiste

Kinderkiste

Forest Playtime

Forest Playtime

Hi all, we'd like to invite you for "Forest Playtime" on wednesdays and fridays 10 -12 am. The idea is to spend time outside in the woods, no matter what weather. This concept is very popular in Germany, we have over 700 "Forest Kindergardens". The motto is: "There's no bad weather, just bad clothing!!!" so please make sure to put on weather appropriate clothing ;-) We'll be balancing and bouncing, climbing and crouching, scooting and sliding, rocking and running. Meeting point is: Hamlin Park 16006 15th Ave NE Shoreline, WA 98155 The entrance is 160th street, there's a sign "free wood chips". Please use the 1st parking to the left.
